Afrob Signed with Kontor New Media
On November 22, 2019, Afrob’s new album “Abschied von Gestern” will be released, and a lot has happened for this release. Kontor New Media and Edel are the new distribution partners for Afrob’s label “One Shotta”. Additionally, Buback takes over the management and booking of the rap artist.
“Abschied von Gestern” is not like any other Afrob album. “The record shows me from a different, new side.” This is already evident in the new tracks: None of the beats has a tempo over 90 BPM, but still just enough to nod your head to. Afrob calls it Neo-BoomBap.
Since last Friday, the album can officially be pre-ordered. Now, another single “Stein auf Stein” follows, for which Afrob got support from Haze. The result is another statement about where his album is heading: Being free from one’s own pressure and the expectations of others.
