Thomas D the KBCS – the M.A.R.S. Sessions

Today, the new album by Thomas D together with The KBCS is released.
“The M.A.R.S. Sessions” is the name of the new joint work by Thomas D together with The KBCS. The record is essentially a reworking and reinterpretation of his older songs, yet they feel like new and unheard. The KBCS have become Thomas D’s companions almost by chance. In the summer of 2019, Thomas D accidentally came across the band because he was holding a record of the Hamburg band in his hands and was drawn into their spell after just a few seconds. He was immediately enthusiastic about the warm meditative vintage sounds, the dry drums, earthy basslines, and spacey keyboards, which have now also become part of his songs.
The result is a new chapter of Thomas D with much depth and numerous loving details. It is a return to roots, completely without autotune, and shows listeners a rarely seen human side of his songs.
