Kontor New Media Takes over Arising Empire

Welcome to the Family: Arising Empire Joins Kontor New Media!

Kontor New Media and Arising Empire Enter into a Strategic Partnership! We are bringing on board the punk, rock, and metalcore label Arising Empire, founded about five years ago by Markus Staiger (Nuclear Blast) and Tobias Falarz (People Like You). With this acquisition, we move closer to the label business.

Tobias Falarz is expected to remain with Arising Empire in the new constellation as A&R and Managing Director. Joining the existing A&R duo of Robin Baumann and Michael Mark as part of the takeover are Philipp Bischoff and Dennis Harm from Kontor New Media, “additional recognized specialists for metal and other hard styles of rock music, who are expected to engage particularly in the digital and streaming areas,” as stated in a joint announcement from the new partners. Together, “the stylistic range of the label is to be maintained, while remaining open to new currents and trends” in the rock genre.
