Kontor New Media is one of the leading digital distribution companies in Europe
The Kontor New Media GmbH emerged from the music label Kontor Records. Since 2003, the year of its foundation, the company has been one of the first in the market to operate in digital distribution. One of its major strengths is the development of new business models and the use of new distribution channels in this environment.
In order to master the various challenges of this fast-paced market, Kontor New Media developed its own digital warehouse right from the beginning – the “Digital Media Base” (DMB). The DMB not only provides pure content management, but also varied solutions to meet the demands of our partners.
Since 2007, beyond the distribution of music, its core business, Kontor New Media has expanded its operations to digital film and TV licensing and installed a broad distribution network with all major services.
In 2009 Kontor New Media started aggregating YouTube contents. After only two years of YouTube channel hosting, Kontor New Media became a certified partner of YouTube. As a member of the Multi Channel Network (MCN), Kontor New Media now hosts and manages well over 600 channels, and excels in monetizing any kind of content.
