Kontor New Media Digital Day 2022

On September 21st, our annual Digital Day 2022 took place at Zwick on the Reeperbahn, and the event was a great success!
Together with our speakers and the KNM Live Lounge, the entire day was highly informative and entertaining well into the evening.
Initially, the focus was on current industry trends, before Jennifer Masset (Global Head of Indies, Commercial Partnerships) and Viktor Zajac (Artist Label Partnerships Manager) from Spotify presented exciting updates from the world of the streaming market leader. Afterwards, Tony Calandra (VP, Global Music Supervision and Programming) and Phil Napierala (Music Supervisor) brought the fitness platform Peloton to the forefront and explained what projects are possible in cooperation.
Furthermore, we showcased the latest DMB updates features, which we will also launch live soon. With Christopher Davies-Smith (Head of Repertoire Operations) from Lime Blue, all attending partners and those who followed the stream learned how the seamless and convenient evaluation of Neighbouring Rights can be made possible directly through the DMB. The final block was formed by the Social Media Team with important insights on how Kontor New Media’s new Social Media department is structured and what important prerequisites must be created for the partners. Josh Nicoll from Meta rounded off the program points on this successful Wednesday and showed partners the important role music plays on Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram. We also received an illuminating overview of the platform’s given tools.
The crowning conclusion was the KNM Live Lounge with musically exciting acts such as: Katha Rosa, Floya, Mola and Afrob. As a surprise guest, Mando Diao couldn’t resist taking the stage as a duo to provide a successful and final surprise. Overall, this Digital Day 2022 was a complete success!
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, to all the speakers, and of course to all partners who were present or followed the presentations via stream.
