The Summer of the Century 2018. In the multicultural microcosm of Berlin-Kreuzberg, 14-year-old Nora (Lena Urzendowsky) navigates her way through coming of age. As the heat sticks to her skin, Nora gets her first period, discovers her love for other girls, and meets the wild Romy (Jella Haase). With her, the noisy area around Kottbusser Tor suddenly seems endlessly vast and full of hidden beauty, the park becomes a jungle, the outdoor pool a sea.
Nora learns to stand up for herself and finally dares to go her own way, apart from her older sister’s clique. But how can Nora preserve her eye for all this beauty after her heart has been broken for the first time?
