“Kenneth Branagh als Wallander” Season 1 Now Available for Download

The first three cases of Kurt Wallander, portrayed by Kenneth Branagh, are now available for the first time in the German home entertainment market.

The series is based on the bestselling novels by Swedish author Henning Mankell and revolves around the charismatic police inspector Kurt Wallander and his investigations in the small Swedish town of Ystad. The books have become a phenomenal success, and this is the third adaptation of the material for television. This time, the Northern Irish-born and English-adopted Kenneth Branagh steps into the lead role. For his nuanced and at times melancholic portrayal of Kurt Wallander, he was awarded the International Emmy and BAFTA Award, as well as nominated for a Golden Globe.
