Nils Landgren “3 Generations”
ACT celebrates its 30th anniversary with the release of “3 Generations” by Nils Landgren.
The Swede Nils Landgren was and is the backbone of the ACT family. Forty albums as a leader and another twenty as a producer and soloist have been released on the label so far.
On his latest release, Nils Landgren demonstrates all the strengths and roles that distinguish him: trombonist, singer, bandleader, producer, festival director, talent scout, professor, curator, and mentor.
Together with ACT founder and producer Siggi Loch, Landgren brings together three generations of ACT artists in various formations to celebrate the label’s 30th anniversary. The friendship and collaboration between Landgren and Loch have been and continue to be crucial. It has existed for almost as long as ACT itself. Landgren, since then an exclusive ACT artist, brought several now renowned artists to ACT, including Esbjörn Svensson, Viktoria Tolstoy, and Wolfgang Haffner.
An die vierzig Künstler und Künstlerinnen aus dem Kreis der ACT Family untermauern auf „3 Generations“ machen das Jubiläumsalbum zu einer Feier der Bandbreite, Offenheit und integrativen Kraft des Jazz. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Aufnahmen einer mehrtägigen Studio Session im Sommer 2022, wie sie wohl nur Nils Landgren und Siggi Loch auf die Beine stellen können. Es entstand ein musikalischer Streifzug quer durch Europa, mit Einflüssen aus Jazz, populären Songs, Folk, klassischen Elementen, zeitgenössischer Musik und vielem mehr.
