Emil Brandqvist Trio “Layers of Life”

The Emil Brandqvist Trio releases their new studio album “Layers of Life” today.
The Emil Brandqvist Trio has become a staple in the European jazz circuit
and is gaining greater popularity with each album. With the new work “Layers of Life”, they have now reached the pinnacle of their creative output so far. The previous success with over 50 million streams of their compositions will now be further continued.
Thirteen new songs penned by Emil Brandqvist impress with delicate, highly complex, yet catchy arrangements. For one of the central pieces of the album, “Solitude”, Finnish pianist Tuomas A. Turunen was also involved as a co-author. It has become a good tradition for Brandqvist to invite the Sjöströmska String Quartet into the studio for some songs, expanding the trio format into a widescreen sound.
