Hamburg musician Phil Siemers releases his new album “Marleen”.
Phil has worked on the new songs for his album day after day for two years, primarily during the pandemic. In the process, he tried out many new things, tinkered with them, but also discarded a lot of material. Compared to his first album, there is a clear evolution in his sound. It appears logical and consistent.
The album was recorded in the 70s-charm-exuding Granny’s House Studio and partly in the studio of his producer Sven Bünger. He wrote most of the songs together with Katharina Müller and also brought in several guest musicians. This is where the wealth of ideas and the many influences in his new songs come from.

On “Marleen”, exhaustion and hope, darkness and light, blues and pop unite. And all of this doesn’t swing out completely uncontrolled like a pendulum, but stands side by side as equals.
“Marleen” is now available everywhere.
